I was at church on sunday helping out with a lunch we were having... washing dishes afterwards... When I caught my dominate on a serrated blade and had to go to the hospital and get 5 stitches!

So, yeah I got a catolgue in the mail today from Wal-Mart and it looked nice. they called it their "For Every Wish Guide 2007" I looked through it seeing if I coud find anythign Tommy would like...
Then I saw it....
On the 3rd page a bit started "Dear Mom, When it comes to toys... etc"
I couldn't believe it. They IGNORED fathers! In our world today with many divorces and single fathers and mothers to try and ignore one OR the other is a very very bad move... after all HALF the parents in the country will be insulted.
So, don't go there. |

keep my church in your prayers as last night someone threw a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch sale through one of the church's ORIGINAL stain glass windows from over 80 years ago. Everyone at Messiah Lutheran here in St. Louis is devastated |

so i know it's been a while... been working my new job for a week now and i love it!
today was the first day i worked when storytime was going on and our children's librarian Karen, a very nice lady (everyoen is nice looks like no drama yay) told all the kids that i was new and had them say hi and wave to me on their way out. they are all abotu 3-5. IT WAS SO CUTE! I loved it! |

i have got some big incredible news. so big that i didn't want to post anything about it until i knew for sure what the outcome would be, i am going back to school to be a librarian and there was a position availible a public library very close to me. well i applied its justa part time job for doing like shelving and checking people out that kind of thing. well... I FREAKING GOT IT!! I start on Oct 10! NO MORE FOOD SERVICE!!!! YAY!!!!! |

first of all... i am back in school finally
i'm taking one class right now just to get back into the swing of things i'm taking sociology.
in the class we have to right papers on various experiences and he said that the most interesting ones he would take to a conference he goes to and read them to other sociologists
well the first paper we had to write was on "How Hurricane Katrina Affected Me" well that was when my divorce was going on
so he told me after class yesterday that i had an interesting perspective and he would like to take mine to read:-D finally my divorce was good for something lol

i realized i post a lot of angry entires so i thought i woudl share this cute story. i was reading the part where Harry takes the luck potion on my break today so when my break is over i take my dishes to the dishroom and manage to drop a glass and it shatters all over the floor in many many pieces. i didn't just break it i annihilated it. and i thought "great rigth after i read abougt how locky harry was i have to have bad luck" |
